Choices in Conflicts

Conflict is always difficult for everyone therefore it is pretty normal to want to avoid getting into a conflict situation, but it is inevitable as it is a gift of life that comes with having relationships.

Although conflict is an unavoidable relationship, it thrives within choices and the jolly part of choices is that if a less desirable one is s made – you may always make another one!

AcceptWe fully accept the circumstance and its outcome i.e., in our hearts it comes a reality and the norm.

Change – With this we have the opportunity to engage with the situation and see if we can alter it to make it more bearable. Although in some instances we may not have the ability to change the situation, we may change how we approach (or handle) the situation to make our lives much easier.

Leave – Which is a withdrawal choice. Sometimes a situation becomes unbearable and to accept or to change doesn't seem possible. Thus, to protect ourselves we retreat.

Stay Miserable! – This seems the least preferable choice, we have not fully accepted

the situation, not exercised our empowered ability to change it or ourselves and we haven't shouted “not me!” either. It stands out as the worst of all possible worlds although it remains an option that is available to millions upon millions of us daily.
